This game was created during my last semester at UW-Stout. I was fortunate enough to be allowed an extra independent study to explore Unreal Engine (4 at the time), and to explore multiplayer gaming and networking concepts such as sending data over TCP/IP and utilizing RPCs. This is a First-Person Shooter set in the distant future and computer viruses have become sentient, and the only way to remove the viruses is by digitizing a specialized task force called "The Anti-Virus". This game gave me the opportunity to not only explore new game development tech, but to also gain practice in agile development, and allow me to lead a small team of 5 individuals with a mixture of skillsets.

Spirit Invasion was the senior level capstone course of the Game Design program at UW-Stout. As this was the final project, programmers and artists were teamed together to make one final 3D project and demonstrate it to the University. This Third-Person Arcade Flight game puts the player into a position of an aerial ghost buster. The player has three minutes to capture as many ghosts on the map as possible by running into them with the player driven glider. Spirit Invasion was completed in under eight months. Our team demonstrated how strong synergy between developers has dramatic effects on the end product, which was a major factor in being one of the most popular games of the 2014 Stout Game Expo.

Hugo is a 3rd-Person Point-And-Click adventure game based on the novel "The Invetion of Hugo Cabret" and 2011 movie "Hugo". The purpose of this course was to take creative direction from someone outside of the development team. Luckily for our team, our creative director wanted us to design this game such that it could be used within his course "Fiction Into Film" demonstrating the creative transition that fiction goes through when passing between storytelling mediums. As such, we were able to have full creative control over the games style and direction, and drew heavy inspiration from Myst to create a puzzle driven adventure game.

Keith The Raptor, my creative brainchild, was my first major project at UW-Stout. With a small team of four individuals and 2 months of work, we were able to create an incredibly fun 2D platformer about a joyous Velociraptor escaping the Pintendo Science Lab and rescuing his family. Our team had an extraordinary amount of fun creating this game, and the players at the 2011 Stout Game Expo enjoyed it as well. Keith The Raptor eventually became a fun staple title amongst the developers and gamers at UW-Stout and is still one of my most favored projects.
